Employee Benefits

Employee benefits are insurance and benefit programmes through which an employer cares for its employees and thereby achieves better business results, reduces costs and limits risks.

With a purpose-designed benefits package a firm finds it easier to attract and retain talent, strengthens loyalty and increases the productivity and satisfaction of existing employees. As a broker, VIPOX advises the employer and designs the entire programme on the basis of proven international methodologies, detailed analyses and relevant market data (benchmarking against the market average and against a selected segment).

The service includes the implementation of individual solutions, communication to employees, ongoing management and regular review of the benefits offered. This approach contributes directly to reducing absenteeism and presenteeism and to communicating the firm's objectives and culture more effectively.

01

Who it is for

It is intended for employers of all sizes — private firms, multinational companies and institutions — that wish to retain key staff and attract new talent. It is particularly relevant for firms with scarce, highly qualified personnel and for those employing foreign nationals and expatriates.

02

What it solves

Retention of key employees, greater appeal as an employer in the labour market, stronger engagement and loyalty, better control of benefit costs and optimisation of premiums, and the reduction of absenteeism (time off work) and presenteeism (being present at work without full productivity).

03

Real-world examples

A group life policy paid by the employer for all employees; supplementary health insurance that provides access to private clinics and laboratories without waiting; a supplementary pension; a flexible budget that the employee allocates, for example, between health, pension and wellness packages. Tax note (regional example, Croatia): in some jurisdictions collective life assurance for death, paid by the employer for all employees, is exempt from tax. For BiH, the specific tax treatment should be checked with your accountants.

04

Our approach

The law generally does not oblige an employer to provide these benefits, which makes them a differentiator in the labour market. As an independent broker, VIPOX analyses the needs of the firm and its employees, designs a benefits programme tailored to the local market and negotiates terms with insurers solely in the client's interest. Thanks to our partnership with AON for Bosnia and Herzegovina, clients gain, alongside local commitment, access to proven international methodologies in the field of benefits.
