Industries we understand
Our portfolio includes more than 140 corporate clients — we protect our clients’ identity, but here are the industries in which we have the most experience with corporate insurance.
Automotive & Mobility
The automotive and mobility sector encompasses vehicle and component manufacturers, parts suppliers, and providers of mobility and transport services. It is a capital-intensive sector with long and interconnected supply chains, in which a stoppage at a single point of production or at a key supplier quickly halts the entire line, while strict safety standards mean that a product defect can lead to a costly recall and to claims. The sector is further shaped by electrification, new technologies, and shifts in supply chains, which introduce new risk profiles. VIPOX analyses these exposures in detail, quantifies the total cost of risk, and structures insurance programmes tailored to production plants, suppliers, and mobility service providers.
Aviation
The aviation industry is a complex, high-risk sector encompassing airlines, airports and air navigation service providers, manufacturers of aircraft and components, MRO operations (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), general and business aviation operators, aircraft leasing and finance companies, and newer segments such as unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and advanced air mobility. It is characterised by exceptionally high exposure per single event (the value of aircraft and potential catastrophic damages), strict international regulation, and global interconnectedness in which a single incident instantly gains worldwide visibility. The most significant risks are liability arising from the carriage of passengers and cargo, hull damage and total loss of aircraft, war and terrorism/sabotage risks, cyber threats, and product liability for manufacturers. In addition, the sector is under pressure from social inflation and rising court awards, supply chain disruption, shortages of qualified personnel (pilots and technicians), and the regulatory challenges of new technologies (artificial intelligence, drones). Given the magnitude of the risk, aviation insurance and reinsurance are, as a rule, arranged through specialist brokers and leading global (re)insurers.
Communication, Technology & Media
The communication, technology, and media sector encompasses telecom operators and network service providers, IT and software companies, data centres and cloud service providers, and media and publishing houses. This is a digitally intensive industry in which business value rests on uninterrupted network availability, data confidentiality, and the protection of intellectual property, so even a brief system outage or data breach can cause disproportionately large financial and reputational losses. The sector is at the same time under pressure from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, rapid technological change, stricter data protection regulation, and media content liability risks. VIPOX analyses these exposures in detail, quantifies the total cost of risk, and structures insurance programmes tailored to the specifics of the telecom, technology, and media business, drawing on its own expertise in the telecom industry.
Construction
Construction is a high-risk sector in which the value at risk builds up gradually over an extended period, while projects are becoming larger, more complex, and more exposed to unforeseen events. Our specialist construction risk management team understands this industry and acts as an advocate and partner to developers, principal contractors, subcontractors, designers, and supervisory bodies. Through our partnership with AON for BiH, we also provide access to the international insurance market for more demanding projects. Typical risks include natural perils, fire and explosion, theft and vandalism, errors in design and execution, construction accidents, third-party liability, and project delays with consequential loss of profit.
Energy & Natural Resources
The energy sector is under constant pressure: rising demand for energy, intensifying competition, and environmental and regulatory pressures, combined with pronounced volatility in energy markets, are only some of the many challenges this industry faces. The sector spans every area of energy production — fossil fuels, nuclear power, and renewable sources (solar, wind, and hydropower, along with battery storage) — together with adjacent segments such as oil and gas, mining, the chemical industry, distribution, and utilities. Clients in this sector seek cost-effective risk management and insurance solutions, and such solutions can only be delivered by advisers who thoroughly understand the legal, financial, technological, environmental, and geographical specifics of the business. Risks in conventional energy (explosions, infrastructure damage, large capital investments, and stringent regulatory obligations) differ significantly from those in green energy (adverse weather, unavailable spare parts, evolving regulations, and financial uncertainty). VIPOX analyses risks in detail, quantifies the total cost of risk to which a client's operations and projects are exposed, and effectively identifies, mitigates, and transfers those risks to insurers.
Financial Institutions
Financial institutions — banks, insurance companies, investment funds, brokerage firms, fintechs, and other financial services providers — operate in a dynamic environment in which regulatory constraints, volatile interest rates, high capital requirements, consumer deleveraging, and the evolution of distribution channels pose significant barriers to growth and profitability. The transformation of business models, accelerating technological change, and shifts in client behaviour are a threat to some and an opportunity to enter new markets for others. The sector is particularly exposed to cyber threats, operational and credit risks, and directors' and officers' liability, amid mounting pressure from climate and geopolitical risks. Managing this volatility requires sophisticated risk and human capital management solutions to reduce exposure, maintain competitiveness, and attract and retain key talent.
Food & Beverage
The food and beverage industry encompasses the entire food system value chain — from raw material suppliers and agricultural production, through food processing and manufacturing, to wholesale distribution, retail, and restaurants. We offer a dedicated solution for managing risks related to production, processing, and distribution within this chain, and our clients include numerous businesses, both privately owned and multinational corporations, spanning every sector of the food system. This is a sector with a particularly complex risk profile, as it combines sensitivity to product perishability and contamination, exposure to volatile raw material prices, strict regulatory and safety requirements, and high vulnerability of brand reputation. Supply chain disruption, climate change, product recall, and cyber attacks are today among the greatest threats to business in this industry. We help companies reduce costs, identify and address both traditional and non-traditional risks, ensure quality, and protect their assets.
Healthcare
Healthcare encompasses public and private healthcare institutions — hospitals, clinics, surgeries, laboratories, pharmacies, elderly care facilities, and social care providers — which manage exceptionally high and variable risks related to patient safety and the delivery of care on a daily basis. The greatest exposure arises from unintentional failures in medical care (medical malpractice), where even a single patient claim can reach a very high amount, which is why in many countries (for example, Slovakia) professional liability insurance for healthcare institutions is a mandatory, statutory type of insurance. At the same time, the sector is digitalising rapidly (telemedicine, electronic patient records), which increases cyber risk and vulnerability to ransomware attacks that can block access to data, while it is further burdened by staff shortages, increasingly strict regulation, and litigation. Given the complexity of the risks and the high limits of cover, VIPOX analyses, structures, and places such risks on the international insurance and reinsurance markets.
Life Sciences
Life sciences — biotechnology, medical devices, laboratories, and research and development — are among the most innovative yet most heavily regulated activities. The sector spans the development and manufacture of medical products, diagnostics, clinical trials, and advanced chemistry, where even the smallest error can have serious consequences for human health and a company's reputation. A long and costly research cycle, protection of intellectual property, product liability, and compliance with demanding domestic and international regulations make the risk profile exceptionally complex. VIPOX analyses the specific exposures of every stage — from the laboratory and clinical trials to bringing a product to market — and structures an insurance programme that protects assets, liability, and business continuity alike.
Logistics, Carriers & Freight Forwarders
Logistics companies, carriers, and freight forwarders operate in a sector where risk arises at every stage of the supply chain — from loading and transport to storage and delivery. Damage to or loss of cargo, delays, errors in documentation, and increasingly frequent cyber attacks can seriously disrupt operations and client relationships. As a broker, VIPOX helps carriers and freight forwarders identify these exposures and insure them through solutions tailored to road, sea, rail, and multimodal transport.
Manufacturing & Engineering
Effective control of business risks is essential for manufacturing and industrial companies in several respects: sound risk management leads to a reduction in losses and the associated interruptions to production, and in the event of a loss it ensures minimal impact on the company's overall business. Today the sector faces a web of overlapping risks — supply chain instability, raw material price volatility, labour shortages, digital transformation, cyber threats, climate change, and geopolitical uncertainty. Machinery breakdown is among the most frequent causes of failures, while fire, burglary, embezzlement, technology theft, and sabotage of machinery and equipment are examples of adverse events with serious consequences. Manufacturing is one of the industries most frequently targeted by ransomware attacks, so cyber resilience and the protection of critical infrastructure are becoming just as important as conventional property insurance. Proper risk mapping also limits insurance costs, a direct result of the systematic exposure analysis that VIPOX carries out for every client.
Pharmaceuticals
The pharmaceutical industry operates in an environment of strict regulation, high investment, and significant responsibility towards end users. The manufacture, distribution, and sale of medicines carry specific risks — from product liability and possible side effects, through compliance with good manufacturing practice, to the sensitive conditions required for storing and transporting medicines. A production stoppage, batch contamination, or a product recall can cause major financial losses and reputational damage. VIPOX identifies exposures across the entire chain — from manufacturing and wholesale to pharmacies — and builds an insurance programme that protects the product, assets, people, and business continuity.
Private Equity / Venture Capital
The private equity and venture capital sector encompasses investment funds, corporations, and financial sponsors that invest in the acquisition, development, and sale of companies to enhance shareholder value. These entities operate in a volatile economic environment and are exposed to complex financial and portfolio risks that accompany every merger and acquisition (M&A) transaction, large infrastructure and technology investments, and the financing and refinancing of investments. The greatest risk lies in the buy-and-sell process itself: breaches of the seller's representations and warranties, hidden tax and legal liabilities, litigation and regulatory approvals, and insufficient due diligence on the target company. In addition, funds and their portfolio companies are exposed to directors' and officers' (D&O) liability, cyber risks, and risks related to the protection and monetisation of intellectual property. VIPOX prepares tailored solutions for these risks and negotiates risk transfer to reputable financial and insurance markets rated AA/A.
Real Estate
For the real estate sector, the analysis and subsequent reduction of risk are essential, as the properties themselves are the owner's main source of revenue, making it necessary to have individually structured insurance cover for cases of significant damage or destruction, including cover for the consequential financial losses arising from business interruption. Properly tailored insurance is a critical part of risk management within a real estate portfolio. The sector is increasingly exposed to climate perils such as fire, storm, and flood, which are occurring with greater frequency and intensity, and to growing cyber threats, particularly in technology-enabled commercial properties and REITs. A further challenge is underinsurance: as property prices rise, a previously agreed sum insured quickly becomes outdated, leading to a proportional reduction in payout in the event of a claim. The value of assets and rental income also fluctuates under the influence of macroeconomic conditions and natural and man-made catastrophes.
Tourism & Hospitality
Tourism, the hotel industry, and hospitality bring together a broad range of activities — hotels and accommodation, restaurants and catering, travel agencies and tour operators, and tourist attractions. The sector is highly sensitive to seasonality, fluctuations in visitor numbers, and external events, while carrying a constant responsibility for the safety of guests, food, and property. Guest accidents, equipment failure, business interruption, refrigeration breakdown, or damage to a property can seriously threaten revenue and reputation. VIPOX analyses the specific risks of hospitality and tourism operations and prepares an insurance programme that protects property, guests, employees, and business continuity.
Trust is built through experience. Working with leading domestic and international companies confirms our ability to manage complex risks in demanding business environments.

Everything you want to know
What exactly does an insurance broker do?
A broker represents you, not the insurer. We analyse your risks, gather and compare quotations from several insurers, and place the most favourable cover on your behalf.
Do I pay for your service?
As a rule, the broker is paid by the insurer through commission, so our advice and intermediation usually carry no additional cost to you. We agree everything transparently in advance.
What does it mean that you are an AON partner?
For more than 20 years (since 2006) we have been AON’s partner for BiH — giving us access to the know-how, capacity and global reinsurance market of one of the world’s leading brokerage houses.
